THE LARGEST CONGRESS ON RADIATION RESEARCH
International Congress
for Radiation Research (ICRR‑2027)

TEN BULLETS WHY TO VISIT
ICRR–2027 CONGRESS
1. The largest gathering devoted to the field of radiation research in the world.
Held every four years on different continents, it serves as a global forum akin to the Olympic Games in the realm of sports.
2. ICRR series under the patronage of the International Association of Radiation Research:
The Leading Society in the Field: The International Association for Radiation Research (IARR) is the principal body behind the ICRR congress series. The IARR serves as the foremost organization representing societies dedicated to the study of ionizing radiation on a global scale. For additional information, please visit their official website, where the trailer for ICRR–2027 is also available:
https://www.radres.org/mpage/IARR-Home.
3. A diverse assembly of 1,000 to 2,000 top leading scientists and physicians from LEADING institutes all around the globe attracted to visit ICRR.
4. Bold coverage of crucial topics that pose significant challenges to contemporary society, such as/including medicine (curative, preventive and palliative), space research, radiation protection and energy for future.
5. Patronage and Support from Distinguished Political, Scientific, and Academic Authorities, with Additional Endorsements on the Horizon
such as Czech Academy…
and many others.
6. Local Organizer:
The Society for Radiobiology and Crisis Planning (SRCP), part of the Czech Medical Association of Jan Evangelista Purkyně (CzMA), is the local organizer of this event. The CzMA is the largest medical society in the Czech Republic. More information is available on the SRCP website: https://www.srkp.cz/vybor-srkp.
7. C-IN Professional
Organization:
The conference is organized in collaboration with C-IN, a professional organizing partner that has extensive experience in managing large-scale congresses worldwide.
8. Close Collaborative Efforts:
There is a strong collaborative effort between the SRCP and other scientific societies, including partnerships with the European Radiation Research Society
(ERRS). More about the ERRS can be found on their website: https://www.errs.eu/en.
9. Partnerships with Prestigious Scientific, Academic and Clinical Institutions:
The conference organizers closely cooperate also with other respected institutes and institutions in Brno and across the Czech Republic, such as the Masaryk Memorial Institute of Oncology, the Institute of Biophysics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IBP CAS), the Institute of Scientific Instruments of the CAS, the Masaryk University, the Czech
Technical University, the National Institute for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection, the Czech Society for Radiation Protection, etc.
10. Unique Location – the Enchanting Heart of Central Europe:
Brno is centrally located in Europe, in close proximity to major cities like Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest. Vienna has repeatedly been recognized as one of the best cities to live in.
Brno itself is celebrated as a “Mekka” of genetics, attracting numerous Nobel Prize winners. The city is noted for its safety, vibrant academic community, and culinary scene. Together with Vienna, Brno offers a rich cultural environment and beautiful surroundings (details provided later in this brochure). In June, when the conference occurs, the weather in Brno is typically very pleasant, making it an excellent time to attend with family.
As a result, we anticipate a significant number of scientists from the USA and Asia bringing their families along. Congress venue — the largest exhibition center in CR with unique architecture and tradition since 1928.

BRNO — THE CITY WHERE GENETICS WAS BORN
GREGOR JOHANN MENDEL
THE FATHER OF GENETICS
From 1856 he studied the cross-breeding of peas in Brno. Based on his experiments, he formulated three rules, later known as Mendel’s laws of inheritance.
In 1867, he became the abbot of the Abbey of St Thomas and was soon appointed to additional positions, which meant that he had to put aside his research.
Although Mendel was among the most significant citizens of Brno during his life, his contribution to biology was fully appreciated only after his death in 1884.
ICRR 2027 VENUE
